University Initiatives
Regrettably, young people do engage in drinking games, giving rise to binge drinking. Universities and other educational institutions have developed programmes to promote responsible consumption and to caution against binge drinking. These initiatives take many forms, including public service announcements and creative competitions.
Educational Campaigns
- These initiatives offer information and promote awareness about the risks of binge drinking. They employ specific strategies, e.g., responsible drinking events on campus, to directly reach and educate university students.
Videos
- Public service announcements, commercials and other videos highlight the deleterious effects of binge drinking. These videos feature tips on how to seek to prevent binge drinking and offer graphic displays of the consequences of excessive consumption.
