WTO Committee

The World Trade Organisation (WTO) is the primary, global international organisation dealing with the rules of trade between nations. The WTO has concluded a series of multilateral trade agreements, negotiated and ratified by the vast majority of the world’s trading nations. The thrust of the WTO's efforts is to promote the liberalisation of global trade. It had 153 Members as of July 2008.

The FIVS WTO Committee monitors a variety of international trade issues that have implications for the alcohol beverage industry. The Committee also provides views in its capacity as a non-governmental organisation.
