FIVS-Inform (Labelling)

FIVS, through its FIVS-Inform strategic initiative, actively promotes the development of symbols and pictograms on wine labels. This effort requires close consultation with the key consumer bodies dealing with specific concerns as well as the European Commission, the International Organisation of the Vine and Wine (OIV), the International Wine Law Association (AIDV), the World Wine Trage Group (WWTG) and the Codex Alimentarius Commission. Ultimately, this will require the development of an ISO standard. However, in the initial stages, this initiative focuses on the development of the principles that underpin the use of symbols and pictograms.
