Contribution to National Economies

FIVS members have conducted studies to demonstrate how different segments of the alcohol beverage industry contribute economically to national economies. One study, completed in January of 2007, uses a standard methodology which includes direct, indirect, and induced economic effects in order to present a complete picture of the economic impact of the grape, wine, grape juice, table grape and raisin industries in terms of employment, agricultural statistics, product revenues, taxes, and many other indices.
