Drunk Driving Prevention

Drunk Driving Prevention

The initiative focuses on three signature programs: Free Rides Programs, Uber Rides, and Designated Driver Programs that let consumers have a range of options to get home safely so that they never drive drunk.

Free Rides offers zero-cost mass transportation options from major events like the Kentucky Derby. Uber Rides encourages consumers to use Uber and has a lottery for free rides with Uber for a year. Designated Driver programs partner with TEAM coalition to promote the use of designated drivers at sporting events.

Challenge 21

Challenge 21

Challenge 21 is a scheme that has been raising awareness among publicans and their staff of the need to be vigilant in preventing underage sales. Challenge 21 is also a national poster campaign aimed at encouraging consumers who look under 21 to carry their IDs. Pub companies are sent posters which can be displayed in pubs letting those who appear under 21 know they may be asked for proof of age. The posters describe what the acceptable forms of ID are — a card with the PASSlogo, a photographic drivers license or a valid passport.
