S.C. Petrus owns the prestigious French wine estate Château Petrus located on a plateau in the eastern portion of Pomerol in the Bordeaux region. The unique terroir of Petrus involves its very dense, dark blue clay soil, surrounded by thick gravel on the surrounding plateau.

Jean-Francois Moueix and his children, including Jean Moueix who took full operational lead at the Estate in 2009, are the owners of Petrus today. Olivier Berrouet has been the winemaker since the 2009 vintage, following his father whose first vintage was 1964.

The Estate produces red wines in the AOC Pomerol appellation, featuring a first wine called Petrus, and has been included in the official classification of Pomerol crus as Hors Classe.
